Looking for things to do in Imperial Beach and Coronado this summer? This is the list I put together every June. From a tasting expo on the 18th to live music every Friday in August, there is no shortage of reasons to get outside in IB and Coronado right now.
Here's everything on the calendar.
The full lineup for summer 2026:
June 18th, 4PM-9PM - Imperial Beach Tasting + Expo
June 19th-21st - NASCAR Weekend at Naval Base Coronado
June 26th, 6:30PM - Movie in the Park, Veterans Park, Imperial Beach
July 3rd, 6PM-10PM - Land of the FREE, Hotel Del Coronado
July 4th - IB Bike Parade & Pancake Breakfast; Coronado Independence Day Parade at 10AM
Fridays in August - Imperial Beach Music in the Park
This one gets its own callout. The City of Imperial Beach and IB Parks, Rec & Community Services are screening GOAT at Veterans Park (1075 8th St, Imperial Beach) on Friday, June 26th.
IB Dance Company performs starting at 6PM. Crafts and games open at 6:30PM. The movie starts at sunset, approximately 8PM. It's free and open to all ages.

Yes. Movie in the Park on June 26th at Veterans Park is free and open to all ages. The IB Bike Parade and Coronado Independence Day Parade on July 4th are also free community events.
Land of the FREE takes place at Hotel Del Coronado on July 3rd from 6PM to 10PM.
The Coronado Independence Day Parade is on July 4th at 10AM.
Movie in the Park is a free outdoor screening event hosted at Veterans Park (1075 8th St, Imperial Beach). This summer's screening is GOAT on Friday, June 26th. IB Dance Company performs at 6PM, crafts and games start at 6:30PM, and the movie begins at sunset (approximately 8PM).
