Imperial Beach Community Events Madeline Foley December 27, 2025
March 21, 2026 | 8 AM – 12 PM
One of my favorite Imperial Beach traditions is back. On Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we’re hosting the Fourth Annual Imperial Beach Community Garage Sale, and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet.
This event has grown into something bigger than a garage sale. It’s a snapshot of what makes Imperial Beach such a special place to live: neighbors who know each other, walkable streets, morning conversations over coffee, and a community that actually shows up.
Homes located south of Imperial Beach Boulevard, between 5th Street and 9th Street, are invited to participate. This pocket of Imperial Beach is known for its coastal charm, central location, and strong sense of neighborhood pride. It’s also an area buyers frequently ask about when they’re exploring the Imperial Beach real estate market.
Participating homes will be easy to spot throughout the neighborhood, making it a great morning walk for locals and visitors alike.
As a small thank you, every participating home will receive free CH Donuts the morning of the event. Nothing says community like starting the day with a donut, a cup of coffee, and neighbors stopping by to say hello.
This tradition has become a favorite part of the event and a reminder that real estate is ultimately about people, not just properties.
As a local Imperial Beach Realtor, I believe that understanding a neighborhood goes far beyond pricing trends and square footage. Community events like this give buyers and sellers something you can’t find on a listing sheet: real insight into what it feels like to live here.
For buyers, especially those comparing Imperial Beach vs Coronado, this is a great opportunity to:
Walk the streets and see how the neighborhood flows
Get a sense of lot sizes, home styles, and upkeep
Experience the pace and personality of the community
For homeowners, it’s a reminder of the lifestyle value that directly supports long-term home appreciation in Imperial Beach.
Many buyers who search for homes for sale in Coronado also explore Imperial Beach. With Coronado’s limited inventory and higher price points, Imperial Beach often becomes an attractive coastal alternative offering:
More attainable entry points
Strong appreciation potential
A laid-back beach town feel
Close proximity to Coronado, Naval Base Coronado, and downtown San Diego
Events like this help buyers see Imperial Beach not just as a location, but as a lifestyle.
If you’re considering buying a home, selling your property, or investing in real estate in Imperial Beach or Coronado, community knowledge matters. Knowing which streets are active, how neighbors engage, and where demand is growing can make a real difference in timing and strategy.
As a real estate agent in Imperial Beach, I’m always happy to talk through:
Current home values
Buyer demand in specific neighborhoods
How Imperial Beach compares to Coronado in today’s market
What buyers are actually looking for right now
Whether you’re participating, shopping, or just strolling through the neighborhood, the Fourth Annual Imperial Beach Community Garage Sale is a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
These moments are what make Imperial Beach feel like home, and I’m proud to continue hosting events that bring our community together year after year.
I’ll see you out there on March 21, 2026, from 8 AM to 12 PM.
